Kayla & Zac were married on a late July day in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Door County is one of my absolute favorite places in Wisconsin. They held their ceremony at St Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay, while their reception was held at The Lodge at Leathem Smith. The Lodge at Leathem Smith has beautiful lodging options, and a lovely banquet room for weddings and events. It sits across the street from the Bay, with an amazing view of the 57/42 draw bridge and it’s own Marina. It was such a lovely Sturgeon Bay Lodge at Leathem Smith Wedding!
I got to know Kayla & Zac at their engagement session on Rib Mountain in Wausau last fall. When I first saw them, I honestly thought they could be models! They are two of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met, both inside and out! They had such a cute idea to have a camp-style engagement session. Their engagement session was actually featured on Midwest Bride. You can view images from their session and the publication here.
Kayla & Zac chose beautiful pastel colors for their wedding decor. Kayla wore a lovely tiered wedding gown that was so unique and so beautiful. Her bridesmaid’s wore different shades of pastel colored gowns. I was so excited to do Kayla & Zac’s formals at sunset out by the marina. I knew it was going to be so beautiful, and I knew these two would rock their formals. And they sure did! We were able to get some just stunning shots of the two of them together. After their formals, their mother’s surprised them by bringing out the wedding party and sending off paper lanterns. We had so much fun at Kayla & Zac’s beautiful Sturgeon Bay Lodge at Leathem Smith Wedding!
