Tyler + Sara were married on a chilly day in late February 2017. It was a windy, cold day, but the sun was out and a fresh snow had just fallen the day before. The first time I got to know Tyler + Sara was at their engagement session this past spring. Our original location ended up being flooded by the spring thaw and heavy rains, so we had to go somewhere else last minute. But Tyler + Sara were so great about the last minute change. They were so laid back and adorable together.
Tyler + Sara chose Mt Olive in Weston, Wisconsin as their ceremony venue. Mt Olive is such a great, friendly church, and we always enjoy working with the staff there. Evolutions in Design in Wausau created the florals for Tyler + Sara’s special day. The bouquets and boutonnieres were created with blend of dark greens with pops of bright florals; the perfect style for winter! Sara’s gown was so stunning; the beading on it was amazing. I have never seen a dress quite like hers before; and it fit her perfectly. Her bridesmaids wore dark purple gown, and they looked absolutely fabulous against the fresh fallen snow. Tyler wore a dapper gray suit, as did his groomsmen.
Tyler + Sara chose the beautiful Rothschild Pavilion for their wedding reception. We had planned to stop at Greenwood Hills for their formals, but with how windy it was everyone would have been miserable. Being the understanding people Tyler + Sara are, they were totally up for a last minute location change. One of the reasons I love the Pavilion so much is because the grounds are just perfect for formals. The sun sets behind the trees, so the lighting is always perfect there, no matter if its sunny or cloudy. We were able to use the building to block the wind to get some shots on the lovely cobblestone walk way. Tyler + Sara braved the wind for some shots in the snow too! Their formals turned out so lovely, and I can’t wait to get their film scans back to add to this post. Those will be so stunning! Tyler + Sara decorated the Pavilion so it had such a warm and inviting feeling. They numbered their tables with the cutest number-labeled wine bottles. It was such a unique idea! Even though we had to change some things up in their timeline throughout the day, Tyler + Sara were so wonderful about everything. We truly enjoyed working with them and being a part of their special day. We wish them all the best for their lives together!
