Camp Alexander Wisconsin Rapids Wedding: Amanda + Brandon’s wedding ceremony and reception took place in May 2016 at Camp Alexander in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. They chose to have both the ceremony and reception at the same venue, which is so nice for everyone involved. It was a a beautiful 80 degree day, which was so perfect for their rustic camp wedding!
The Ceremony and Reception
Camp Alexander in Wisconsin Rapids is such a unique location for weddings. Amanda + Brandon’s wedding was my first visit to Camp Alexander, and I was pleasantly surprised by how adorable and rustic it is. It is situated on 33 acres of private land on Nepco Lake. The camp has two lodges, five cabins to stay in, hiking trails, swimming areas, and more! It’s basically the dream camp of my younger years. Amanda + Brandon were able to rent out the entire camp, so they had access to everything it has to offer. The smaller lodge served as the ceremony location, while the larger one hosted the reception. Family and guests were able to stay onsite in cabins, as each cabin sleeps a whopping fourteen people!
Brandon restores vintage Schwinn bikes in his free time and they hold a special place in his heart, so it was fitting that the bikes became a large part of their wedding day. They were able to secure a vintage Schwinn bike for each member of their wedding party; twelve total! We had some really great photo opportunities with the bikes, and they really brought together the vintage feel of the wedding. Plus the groomsmen got to be silly and ride them around in their suits!
The decor included beautiful springtime shades of purple, with lilacs everywhere! Lilacs are my absolute favorite flower, so I was all giddy when I walked into the ceremony lodge and it was just filled with them! The bridesmaids wore deep purple gowns, while the groomsmen wore grey suits accented with deep purple ties and pocket squares. We really had so much fun at Amanda + Brandon’s wedding. Everyone was just so kind and wonderful, and Camp Alexander was such a peaceful place to be.
