Back in May, a few vendor friends and I set up an amazing beach styled wedding in Door County, Wisconsin. We utilized Cave Point Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park for this shoot. We wanted to show some of the natural beauty that can be found in Wisconsin, as well as show brides & grooms that you can have a costal feel wedding even in Wisconsin. Door County was the perfect place for this shoot. With it’s crystal clear, teal waters, beaches, and dunes, it looks and feels like the Pacific Northwest. I love photographing real weddings in Door County, so this gave me a chance to do two things that I love! Fawn from Inspired by Nature created the most lovely flowing, neutral florals that went perfectly with the grey/dusty blue color pallet we chose. Allison from Et Voila Events styled everything perfectly with a mixture of vintage and nautical elements. Ruth from Seniman Calligraphy created the most beautiful blue-grey paper goods for us, accented with her amazing calligraphy. The cake from the Main Grain was absolutely perfect, and Mai Chee did a fabulous job making Sarah look like an ethereal beach bride. Everything came together so perfectly, just like I had imaged it in my mind. It’s alway a little nerve wracking setting up a shoot like this, especially one that we had to drive almost three hours to accomplish. There are so many things that can go wrong, and a few things definitely did. But we still pulled it all together, and I am so proud of this team of vendors. I am so blessed to be able to work with such great Central Wisconsin Wedding vendors. Door County Sturgeon Bay Wedding Photographer
