Super excited to be able to share Alex & Heather’s adorable rustic pastel Rib Mountain wedding on the blog today!
I first got to know Alex and Heather during their engagement session this past fall. They were so sweet and adorable together. I knew that shooting their wedding was going to be so much fun! We shot their engagement photos on Rib Mountain, and also ended up using the same location for their wedding formals!
Alex & Heather held their ceremony in Heather’ parent’s beautiful backyard just outside of Wausau. The property was so great; it had the perfect mixture of natural elements. Towering trees, forested areas, and beautiful open fields. They chose babies breath as their main floral elements. Heather’s bouquet was so feminine, and went beautifully with her delicate lace gown.A birch arbor decorated with tulle and florals served as the ceremony alter. It went perfectly with the rustic feel of the ceremony. There ceremony itself was so full of love. They had guests read different words of advice to the new couple. There was laughter, tears, and so much joy.
Alex & Heather chose the Sundance Chalet at the base of Rib Mountain for their reception venue. I totally love the Chalet. Not only is the venue itself great, but the property it is on is so awesome for formals. We went up to the top of Rib Mountain first for formals. We ran into three other weddings up there, so we decided it was best to come down and finish the formals at sunset behind the chalet. The chalet was decorated with minimalist rustic elements;my favorite was the sweet cream cake with pink florals and babies breath!
It was truly and honor and a joy to work with Alex and Heather, and their families and friends. They are so sweet, and kind hearted. They planned to honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta. I hope you guys had an amazing time in Mexico!
