Let’s face it; there are a kazillion photographers out there! It can be so overwhelming (which I learned when I was a bride) to choose just one out of so many. How do you even begin to sift through the countless websites, portfolios, and “about me’s”? When I was a bride, I learned that the most important things for me went like this: 1) quality and consistency of images; 2) Customer service experience; 3) look and feel of photographers work and branding; and 4) photographer’s personality and ability to direct. And they became the most important things for my customers to receive from our experience.
- Quality and Consistency: Our approach to photography is organic; we want to capture you, as you are, without any crazy or unrealistic poses. We utilize natural light whenever possible, but also have extensive knowledge of portable lighting if the situation calls for it. We keep our work consistent by shooting and editing the exact same way every single time.
- Customer Service Experience: For me, customer service is the most important service I provide. In any business your work can be beautiful or great, but if your customer service isn’t, you won’t go far. My couples are not just another wedding for me; they are lifelong friends. I treat my couples the same way I would treat my family and friends; with respect, honesty, and the utmost love, care, and devotion.
- Look/Feel of Work: As I mentioned, we keep our style organic. We believe that natural, unforced images are the most beautiful. We take a fine art approach to our photography, so that what you receive is not only modern, but also keeps a timeless look for years to come. We don’t edit the new trends in Photoshop, we don’t use filters, and we don’t use crazy coloring!
- Direction: By nature, I am awkward in front of the camera. Have you ever seen that Friends episode where Chandler and Monica have their engagement photos done? Well, I’m Chandler. For real. And the vast majority of my couples feel the same way. The ability of a photographer to direct you is so important. I provide my clients with visual aids and verbal guidance, so the process is as easy as possible!
