David + Emily were married in early February 2018. They chose Old St. Mary Parish and the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward for their venues. The Kimpton Journeyman hotel is right in the middle of the Third Ward. Surrounded by towering buildings and countless shops, it is the perfect mix of historic and modern. With the rooftop bar, charming lobby, and rooms adorned with pieces by local artists, it is the perfect Milwaukee destination. It was the perfect Kimpton Journeyman Milwaukee Wedding.
David + Emily chose Old St. Mary Parish in the Third Ward for their wedding ceremony. Emily’s grandmother actually told Emily that she’d love to see her be married in this specific church, which is why it was so special to David + Emily. Old St Mary was established in 1846, the same year the city of Milwaukee was established. The church was designed by Victor Schulte, and boasts artistic features such as a painting gifted to the church by King Ludwig I of Bavaria. The High Alter is hand carved of wood, and is truly a work of art. Old St Mary Parish is a beautiful church full of wonderful history.
David + Emily chose an elegant urban theme for their wedding. They chose light, neutral colors for their details and decor, which went perfectly with the deeper colors of the Journeyman’s decor. Emily wore the most stunning long sleeved gown, and her bridesmaids wore mismatched, pastel flowing dresses. David wore an dapper tux, and his groomsmen wore gray suits. We stopped at the iconic bridge at Lakefront Brewery for their outdoor formals, and the rooftop bar at the Journeyman for their indoor formals. We had a wonderful time exploring Milwaukee’s Third Ward with David + Emily. We always love traveling and getting to see all the wonderful features of new cities!
